This review is almost a year late but as we are getting into the summer soon and we are making more use of our deck again, I realize how much I love the Azek PVC deck that Alec and his team built for us last summer. Our old wooden deck was rotting and in a very bad shape. We were very nervous about managing another renovation project as everyone knows how stressful renovations can be. But this backyard renovation project was the opposite of what weve ever experienced. Alec did all the project planning and took a lot of stress off us when it came to decision makings. He suggested a lot of things we had not thought of to make the new backyard even more beautiful and user friendly (added lights, moved faucet up that was too low to reach, adding Plexi glass to cover an opening so my kids dont fall inside, etc). During the process, Alec removed the entire old deck and fence around our backyard, built everything back up from scratch and made a second level of the deck to extend the backyard to make the usable space bigger. His craftsmanship and attention to detail is excellent and second to none. We had family and friends over and everybody commented on how beautiful our backyard is and how well and sturdy the deck and fence was built. This was by far the best renovation experience for us. Thank you so much Alec for your excellent work. If you are looking for someone to build your deck, look no further. Master Deck is literally a Master of what he does!

Alec did a great job on our wooden deck. He was friendly, careful, finished exactly when he said he would, and even did a few small things (at no additional cost) that he could easily have not done, as they weren't part of the original quote - the problem wasn't visible until he fully dismantled the old deck. However, when he saw the issue, he just fixed it, because it would produce a better result. LH, Toronto

Our cedar deck was high maintenance (replacing rotten boards and getting it power washed/stained every year) so we decided to replace it with an Azek composite deck. Alec and his team did a fantastic job - the deck is beautiful. It is a large deck and the design is complicated with various angles, a pergola, a built-in planter, aluminum railings and a wrap-around skirt with access door so we can get under the deck if necessary. There was a delay in getting the railings due to the colour we chose (beige) but they were definitely worth the wait. Alec also did the Juliet Balcony off the master bedroom to match the deck. I would recommend Master Deck for any deck construction project.

We had a wonderful experience with Alec and his crew. We’re about a year late with our review, but he quoted us in the spring of 2019, told us we were about six weeks out from getting the deck done (which I was skeptical of since we’ve had some pretty bad experiences with contractors) but they were right on schedule :). And the deck is wonderful, he even built us a great privacy screen at the last minute. I would recommend Master Deck to anyone who asks for a recommendation. Thanks to Alec and his team of pros.

This is the third time I have used Alec and his team. In the past Alec built a front porch and deck at my old house, and now a back deck at the new house. The new deck was multi tiered using Azek, with all the bells and whistle, lights, two pergolas, glass railings. His help in creating the final product, creative solutions, and courteous team allowed this project to be a complete success! We could not be happier and I have recommended him countless times since. This guy is a PRO.

I hired Alec to build my second deck at the same home. Alec built our first deck 20 years ago and we enjoyed it every summer. I invited Alec back to remove the old wood deck. We kept the existing foundation, repaired a few areas, extended by four more feet and put down 20ft Aztech boards, with brown trim, glass railing and lighted stairs. Alec finished the job in 1 week and came back a few times for minor touch ups. Highly recommend Alec for your back yard deck! Very professional and quality workmanship.

We hired Master Deck in 2015 as part of a complete backyard make over and more recently invited Alec and his team back to reconfigure the deck to install a deluxe three person hot tub. In 2015 we had some vague ideas of how to maximize use of our small backyard but Alec completely revamped the plan with a two tier deck that was perfectly proportioned around our chosen outdoor furniture and 2 large maple trees. Most recently, Alec came back to cut out a 7' x 5.5' area, laid a concrete pad for our deluxe hot tub, and then added finishings to make the new addition fit in perfectly. Alec worked quickly, always showed up on time, and was very pleasant as we asked questions or made adjustments during the construction process.

We had our deck built by Alec and his team a few weeks ago. They were friendly, finished the project in a timely manner and most importantly built us a beautiful deck. We couldn’t be happier with the end result. Alec built my parent’s deck over 10 years ago (it’s still going strong) so it was an easy choice to work with him again.

We had our fence and deck built a couple of years ago, but I wanted to add a review. Alec and his crew did a fantastic job removing the old deck and working in an urban yard that had levelling challenges. We chose a composite deck and glass railings for the front with a cedar fence and we had two gates installed. Since then, we have had a few people come by to work on other areas of the house and each time we were asked who built our fence and deck because the work was done with such detail and craftsmanship. We pass on the company's info any chance we get not only because we love the work that they did, but because they were a fantastic crew to work with.
