I have an old house that needed to have the knob and tube and aluminum wiring removed. Rob came in ,took the time to really look at the house in detail and gave me a fair quote. The crew of Brad, Colin, Moe, Vic and John were true professionals. Their work was expert the holes in the walls small and the patching was amazing. I just have to touch up a few spots. They worked quickly and efficiently and ALWAYS left the house as clean as humanly possible and totally connected so I could continue to live in my house and work from home. No small requests were too much bother in fact they came up with a few suggestions that just added to the comfort and value of my home!. They arrived every morning on time and were always so pleasant . I really can't recommend them highly enough. LOOK NO FURTHER than this company for your homes electrical re-wiring. A.M.Stain

We needed to completely rewire our new house right after purchase and were referred to Langstaff & Sloan through a friend. I was able to e-mail with Rob Lembryk and get some great information and a rough estimate sight unseen weeks beforehand. He then came by the day after we took possession, took the time to answer all of our questions, and calculated a formal quote right in front of us which was great. They were able to start right away and finished within a week, meeting our tight move-in deadline. Vic kept me in the loop while on-sight, asked any questions where he wasn't sure, and made the correct decisions where there was any ambiguity in the instructions. We asked them to prep some wires for future renovations and they were all put in place and carefully labelled to avoid any confusion down the road. When the job was complete Vic was patient during the final walkthough and took the time to answer any questions I had regarding surge protectors, light fixtures, electrical safety, using the outdoor outlets, etc and left me feeling very confident in the job that had been done and that everything was in order. We bought our own fixtures and dimmers, and Vic alerted us that we had bought the wrong combination and was patient with us exchanging them for the correct ones instead of just installing what we had bought, only to have a dimmer burn out within in year. The patchwork that was done was also top notch, and we have been able to paint right over top of it without any sanding required. This was big for us because we had to move in right after they were done and didn't want dust on all of our stuff. They left the place just as they found it, clean. Out of the five quotes we received Langstaff was right around the middle in terms of price but made us feel the most comfortable in what we had to do and the best way to go about it. The job could honestly not have gone any smoother for us and we will happily recommend them to anyone.

Last fall we had to replace all remaining knob and tube wiring in our house. Two out of three electricians I had called for an estimate were not even willing to provide us with a quote. Robert Sloan came to the house, did a one hour inspection and had a detailed quote right away. Very professional, very precise and without any unanswered question. His crew did a fantastic job completing the work. They were on time, left their work place clean every night, and couldn't be more courteous. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone.

The crew arrived 5 minutes early on the first day of the job, which set the tone for the consistent professionalism we saw over the next 3 days. The head electrician, Vic, made a number of excellent suggestions based on our needs (found the best location for a new kitchen plug, warned us against a wireless switch, etc). He was also quick to apologize when an outlet was installed in the wrong spot in one of the bedrooms, and immediately had the outlet relocated. Removal of knob and tube was labour-intensive but the crew met the 3-day deadline, and brought in an additional electrician to ensure they kept to their timeline. Throughout the process Vic did an excellent job communicating the changes he and his crew were making, along with explaining the problems with the original wiring. The crew also did an excellent job of cleanup. Langstaff & Sloan were recommended to me by close friends, and I now understand why. Definitely a situation where you get what you pay for.

I had a pending offer on a home I purchased which had some questionable electrical work. The owners were not able to find an electrician to make the necessary repairs and put their name on it (i.e. provide documentation supporting their work). Langstaff and Sloan came to the home, completed the work right away and providing a letter guaranteeing their work was safe. I would definitely recommend them.

Robert Sloan paid us a visit within a few days of our first contact and was extremely helpful on all fronts. He offered great advice including how we could save some cost by digging our own trench for the buried conduit for the garage, and what to expect from the city inspectors. He was also very happy to share his book (a thick binder) of references, and responded with a quote very quickly. Work started shortly thereafter. The Langstaff & Sloan crew were fast, courteous and tidy. The crew lead was also more than happy to follow up on any questions I had along the way and offer welcome advice of his own. I was completely satisfied with the end result and would call Langstaff & Sloan before anyone else should I need electrical work in the future.

They were on time and quick to answer any questions I had without talking down to me. That was appreciated. Being disabled, they knew to ask me where the best place(s) were to install the outlets and switches for me. They cleaned up very well after themselves, knowing it would be difficult for me to do. We hired Langstaff & Sloan to do a knob and tube rewire of the entire house excluding the basement. The team completed the job within a week, were extremely pleasant to deal with, explained each part of the work they did, and answered all my questions. The team were also absolutely fastidious about the cleanliness and safety for children and pets after each day of work. When I phoned a few months later to have them check out a socket I wasn't sure was done (we moved some heavy furniture and found it,) the team lead came to the house the next day to make sure. (It had indeed been done.) The team lead also inspected and reported on our basement wiring even though that area was not part of the initial work we wanted done. Also, the team member who refinished the holes in the walls after the work was done filled ALL the holes in our walls, not just the ones they made, and touched up some sloppy wall finish work that had been done previously by some heating contractors. (I was so grateful for that, thanks!) Highly highly recommended.
