NEW GAS FURNACE Dave Bissonnette, my salesperson, was very helpful and professional, in his advice to me. Dave and Brendan, the installers, were first class mechanics and did an excellent job. Laird & Son can be proud of these employees. I have used this firm for 48 years for my heating and air conditioning needs and would recommend them to anyone.

Installed new furnace and tankless hot water heater Our old furnace had a crack in the heat exchanger and had to be replaced. We decided we should upgrade our water heater to a tankless model at the same time. We did research on the internet and called three companies. There wasn't much difference in the three quotes, but we felt Dave from Laird and Son had a better knowledge of the systems and was able to explain some things that the other people didn’t tell us. He also gave us the clearest understanding of government rebates and how they would factor into the quotes. Installation of the new furnace went smoothly and the Laird installers left the basement clean and tidy. They took away the old furnace and water heater and they also took care of all the paperwork for returning the old water heater (it was a rental). A few days later, I had some problems with programming the water heater thermostat timer and I called Laird and Son. Brian came to the house right away and helped me set it. All in all, we had a very good experience with Laird and Son and we would definitely use them again.

Replace furnace and thermostat Saturday morning our furnace broke down.I called many companies but only one answered -Laird and Son.
Dave [last name removed --Ed] answered my call and was at my home in 2 hrs.he tried to get my furnace going but unfortunately it was finished. He then showed us a range of Lennox and Goodman furnaces and we decided on the Lennox. He came back on Sunday morning with the papers to sign etc.
Monday he called and confirmed the furnace would be installed Tuesday.Tuesday morning the men came and were very professional and courteous and left the house as clean as it was when they arrived.
Today they came back to install the new thermostat
We would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a new furnace

replaced air conditioner and furnace They came, saw the problem and had it fixed! A few items were backordered so the project took longer than anticipated but the end result was great. Appreciated the office booking around my schedule and assisting with the government credits.

New humidifier installation and furnace maintenance Bryan is straight up, polite, and efficient.
He did a nice job on my humidifier installation, explained it's operation well, and seemed to have my best interests in mind. I feel I can trust work by Laird & Son because of staff like Bryan.
Thanks,
George Teichman

New furnace New Air conditioner and ongoing maintenance We switched to Laird and Sons five years ago for our heating and air conditioning needs...Their prices are competitive, never the least expensive, but their customer service and quality of workmanship leaves nothing to be desired

Supply and Install New Furnace and A/C and Duct Cleaning Furnace and A/C:Sales rep Dave Bissonnet provided helpfull suggestions on what should be addressed in replacing the equipment and addressed only what was needed to to keep costs down as much as possible. He addressed my concerns and questions in a professional manner. An issue with the fit of a new air filter element into the existing container was handled to my satisfaction. The price was not the lowest, but not the highest either, so my selectction was based on company past experiece. The installation was completed in one day and the work arerea was cleaned up by the installers after work was completed .
Duct Cleaning: Ryan did an excellent job in cleaning the ducts before the furnace installation, he hit all the right areas.

Emergency Boiler Repair We had spent 48 hours being held hostage by another heating company (Mckinnon) - see separate review. Their cost to solve the problem was $9000. After having the problem fixed by someone else, they returned to our house and disconnected our gas at the street in -15C weather.
Luckily for us I then found Laird and Son.
After calling Laird and Son, there was a technician at my door in 20 minutes. He was courteous and helpful and made us feel comfortable from the moment he walked in the door. He inspected the repair, turned the gas back on and ran several computerized tests before certifying everything as safe.
It took him less than an hour and the total cost was $150. He then helped with a couple of small adjustments for which he did not charge.
Wow. What a difference.
I would actually rate Laird and Son at "11" for customer service above and beyond reasonable expectation.

Gas furnace repair The furnace in our store/apt. stopped working during the night before Christmas day. Our tenants called us saying there was no heat. We inspected the furnace and could not re-start it. So we called Laird and Son. By 2:30 pm on Christmas day, they returned our call and met us at the property half an hour later. The furnace needed a new ignitor. Miraculously they had one, the right model and all on the truck! The fee for the service call and installation was a reasonable $150 - even on Christmas day. And the part about $300. The heat was back on, our tenants happy, and no frozen pipes. We were thrilled.
