I was moving into a house which needed a lot of work and was recommended by a friend to speak with Jeff Roberts, owner of J. Roberts and Associates. He met with me very soon after we spoke on the phone and he knew exactly what needed to be done and how to get it done in a very narrow time line. He is incredibly knowledgeable and has the experience to get the right people to do the work. Once the work had started it progressed very fast. There was no waiting around for workers to show up. They were prompt, efficient, polite and extremely capable. Any questions I had were always answered. Jeff was there every day to check on progress and make sure I was happy. He counseled me on priorities and how to stay within budget. Only 8 weeks later and I now have a new upstairs to my house. He has managed to accomplish an inspiring total remodel with a vaulted bedroom ceiling, remodeling of the two other bedrooms, a complete remodel of the bathroom, customized cupboard doors, crown moulding and new baseboards, new windows, spray foam insulation, a repaired chimney and repairs to brickwork, upgraded electrical and plumbing, installation of new carpeting and new cupboards installed. Not only that, he dismantled an old garage, arranged for a new shed and built a fence. The speed at which he did all of this was incredible and all the while maintaining exceptional quality. I could not be more pleased. It has been a very positive experience and I plan to go on to phase 2 (the main floor) in the spring. I heartily recommend J. Roberts & Associates. He has become not only a trusted contractor but also a friend. I consider myself very lucky to have found him.

I had started a renovation in my basement expecting to complete it myself. Once I gutted the room, I realized that it was a much larger job than expected. The basement was in really rough shape, however, it is a hundred year old house. I received a recommendation to call Jeff and am I glad I did. Jeff and his crew were hired to level the basement floor and drywall, I would complete the remaining items myself. The teams for the two segments of the project were very professional. Scott did an amazing job of the concrete. I was able to lay my vinyl plank flooring with ease. Mitch and Kim who did the drywall were awesome. Even though we had to push the job a day, they still got the work done within the scheduled time. Based on the original condition of the basement and what both teams had to work with, I'm amazed it's turned out so well. It is like an entirely different room and we love it!! I would definitely hire Jeff again. The work that was done was excellent and made my life a whole lot easier.

Jeff was recommended by a friend & I'm really pleased with the work his team did. The main part of the project was the expansion & renovation of a bathroom. Jeff had some great ideas, listened to what we wanted, and was responsive all the way through the project. His team were efficient, polite and cleaned up every day. We had a few bad leaks in our rented out basement and in panic called around to companies that would waterpoof basement foundations. Jeff was one of about ten different contractors we spoke to. Jeff seemed to be the most fairly priced and knowledgable so we went with him. He could have told us to waterproof the whole foundation but instead said we only needed to do the back wall of the house. We were very impressed with the crew Jeff sent - they actually showed up every day they said they would (this is huge as I'm sure anyone who has dealt with contractors or repair people know). Scott and the rest of his crew were very friendly,worked hard, and cleaned up after themselves. We have since had several big rains and no water in our basement. As I have been electrocuted by wooden slide rules, I tend to shy away from anything to do with building. Jeff and his team, Larry and Scott, brought confidence, competence, meticulousness and kindness to the job of beautifully restoring a formerly ugly chimney to our early 1900s home.

We hired Jeffrey Roberts and his team for a large-scale job at our house involving the excavation and rebuilding of our basement. Jeffrey was incredibly knowledgeable, honest and really cares about the quality of his work. He completed the job on time and for the quoted price. A contractor with integrity!

We found out that our kitchen was sinking because carpenter ants had eaten out our joists and joint supports and subfloors. We needed help and fast. We called around and many times didn't even hear back from folks. Then came Jeff. He walked us through the process with straightforwardness and candour. He told us what needed to be done and what didn't. And most importantly, he made sure the job got done right. The job took about a week and despite the fact that we could see our basement from the kitchen, we barely noticed that our home was a worksite. The guys were clean and friendly. They took care to make sure to limit any disruption to our lives was as minimal as possible. But what caused us the greatest happiness was the confidence we now have about the competence of the work that was done and the trust we have that our home is secure. We had to get an old window bricked in and the water damage it caused to the plaster moulding in our dining room repaired. Jeff gave a reasonable quote and the work was done efficiently in a timely fashion. They actually came when we were out of town and my wife commented when we got back that if the work hadn't been done, we wouldn't have know they were there, they cleaned up after themselves so well. We're very happy with the work, the price, and the professionalism. I would highly recommend this company.
