I recently had a 60 gallon water tank installed to replace my rental unit. The service man was not on time...I had to wait for him. His english was really weak and it was therefore difficult to understand him. I also needed some venting modifications that were not done to me expectations as per our estimate earlier in the week. They bring a different guy to give quotes and another to install. I was not happy wit their services.

The subcontractor hired by Home Depot for this job was excellent. Good work and left with good instructions on use and care and best of all he left everything clean. The old door was taken away without question. Home Depot found a great contractor for Garage Door Installs for sure.

In order to have a quote provide by Home Depot, you must first leave a 50.00 nonrefundable deposit. Next a unqualified installer will show up at your house - without reading glasses, which they need to see with and proper equipment which they need to quote with. After they leave you will wait approx 1 week to receive your ridicuous quote from home depot for a countertop that you could have received granite for the price of laminate.

I found Home Depot great to deal with,I took a rough sketch and measurements to them and they gave me a computer generated plan with all of the material I would need, I could vary the types of wood and the prices were given for each type. They offered a 0 percent finance plan. Their price was the best quoted and I really shopped around. They delivered all of the material and brought it all around to the rear of my house. A few pieces of lumber were defective but I had no problem with replacement. A few times I had to go back for some building advice which they gave me in laymans terms. After the project was completed I had no problem returning any material I did not use.

I accompanied my mother to Home Depot to purchase an exterior door for her home. We had many questions regarding time frame, cost, hardware, etc. There were may Home Depot reps available to answer our questions. We left with the number for a contractor who would install the door for us. He showed up promptly a week later and gave us a quote that was within our budget. The contractor assisted us with picking the hardware and even installed the door 3 weeks ahead of schedule. The price may have been a bit more than buying it from somewhere else, but the warranty and quality of service was well worth the extra cost.

Very good helpful service, variety of colours, reasonably priced and very efficient sales people. It was no problem to get more of the same type of paint would go there again.

We have been renovating a 100 yr. old home for 6 yrs. We have noticed a significant decline in the service levels offered to the consumers at the Home Depot stores. There are less sales associates offering help or service to the customer on the floor, and the products are not kept in stock. Sales associates are not very knowledgeable on special orders or products that are on the shelves. Also shelves are not kept stocked.
