We had the roof shingled August 8 and 9th, 2022 (the southside of our church). They did an excellent job. They also made sure they cleaned the debris. They were polite and if there were any questions, someone always got back to me right away. We also have a 35 year non-prorated warranty for material and labour.

I can never understand why it's so hard for some companies to be on time. Even more disappointing is when you have to call and follow up yourself. My appointment was booked for between 12-2pm. After making a couple of calls I was told the installers were on their way. I had specifically mentioned (before booking for that specific day) that the workers needed to be out by 5pm. I was assured they would. The installers arrived at 3:30pm and didn't leave until 6:45pm. They also left a few scattered cigarette butts on my driveway too.

Both my wife and I had evening appointments we needed to get to and I don't appreciate when companies dismiss the value of their client's time. I ended leaving to go to my appointment but my wife had to cancel hers. I ended up calling GK's office the next day and got a pretty insincere apology which included a comment similar to, "well they didn't come late on purpose".

Perhaps I should be invoicing George Kent...

"George Kent Home Improvement" replaced our soffit, facia and eves trough 5 years ago. They did a great job, still looks good. They installed larger eves trough, and we have no more problem with them overflowing. Last week a heavy wind pulled a piece of the facia looks. I called, and in just a few days an installer came by and fixed the problem, then did a walk around the house to make sure that there were no more problems.

For the insulation, Graham and his co-worker were nice and businesslike. They put down tarps explained what they needed and got right to work. They put baffles in the roof trusses and started to blow in the insulation. They were done in 1 1/2 hours. They took their tarps out and did a rough cleaning. Highly recommend them. For the gutters, they showed up and got right to work. They had a good amount of guys and had the old gutters off really quick. They explained that since my gutters drained in the front, they had to drop them down more to get the slope so they would drain. I appreciate the explanation. Now for the roof, the roof looks good. As for them putting it on and cleaning up, that sucked. Not really safe putting it on, didn't have their ropes out at first until I wrote an email, which I didn't get a response for. Cleanup happened after sunset and the person doing the cleanup only ran the magnet over the walking path. We are still picking up nails in our yard. I complained and I am not sure the staff I have complained to wanted to hear it or are unable of dealing with complaints/concerns. George Kent's other products are great and the roof warranty was a big selling feature even if they didn't cleanup.

They pitched a good price and lifetime warranty. They did quote competitively with another best of 2018 company. They did install on time and cleaned up well. BUT they were vague on detals of the warranty and when I received the actual paper with the warranty I was hugely disappointed.

I bought the window from them on the basis of the price and the warranty, and they failed big time on explaining the warranty . Their verbal explanation contradicted the written one.

I will not be buying another window from them.

Very disappointed with the overall service from this Company.From the initial contact to the finished installation of 4 large casement windows, approximately 3 months.Windows arrived with major defects on the inside trim which then had to be replaced by an expert Frank.Kudoos to Frank for repairing/replacing the trim.One screen came damaged which has yet to be replaced.Maria has been very cooperative with all this delayAt this time, she does not know where the screen is..Ben, the initial installer, friendly but he should have seen the damage on the inside trim of windows and reported the damage.

Would I recommend the Company to others, NO.

I was doing a full reno. I wanted someone that could handle everything but didnt want to go looking for a GC. I heard the radio ad, called them, and booked a sales appointment. I remembered as a kid riding on Mr Kent's double decker buses in Port Credit at the festival and decided to hire the company based mostly on how long they have been in business. The project had a couple hiccups, but nothing serious, there was alot of work to do. Thankfully everything was completed to our complete satisfaction. My wife and I tried pretty hard to find some sort of imperfection in their work and the products and are please to write on this review that everything was finished to perfection. Great job guys!

I had 11 windows installed, the windows look amazing, I love the colour and the Quality is top notch. The installation team took amazing care in my house as well as outside. They were thorough, made sure each window was installed properly and operated smoothly. They went the extra mile to fix a decorative area above one of my windows. Now I look at my house from the street and I see a beautiful house and the tried old looking windows are gone. Truly Happy with the results.

The shingles, plywood, drip edge, flashing and a waterproof base were included in this job. The work was done on time and they did a great job cleaning up afterwards & took all of the debris away. The guys who did the job were very polite and professional. It's been almost a month since the job was completed and there have been no problems. My double carport/covered patio is nice and dry. I was happy with the quality of the work.
