Ewan saved my small kitchen update coming the rescue like a superhero. When my cabinets were being measured for a new countertop template the fellow from the stone company looked at my cabinets and told me the bad news - there was no way new stone could be put down on them - I'd have to get a carpenter in to repair, strengthen and level my old cabinets or I was (blank) out of luck. I was desperate in terms of timing - I needed great work done very fast. I tried a few different guys (getting a good carpenter on short order is a small miracle) and then the clouds parted and Ewan came to my rescue. He managed to get a couple of days from an existing job to come and get my cabinets in order. He did an amazing job not only did he repair, strengthen and level my cabinets to secure them for for a new countertop - he came up with some brilliant ideas - including re-arranging my lowers to allow for a full size fridge we had never been able to put in before because of the way the lowers were arranged originally. I can't say enough great things about Ewan. Homestars is such a fantastic place to find the best people. Thanks again Ewan!

I lack storage space in my kitchen, but love the design of my kitchen. I asked Ewen to build a storage cupboard to house my "occasional" serving implements, etc. for parties. Ewen built the most beautiful storage cabinet, accommodating the existing dimension, and adding to the beauty of my basement. He did the design with my input, and everything I wished to see stored was accommodated. He built the unit in his workshop and installed it without any stress on me. I am very grateful and happy to have the unit.

Seven years ago, we ripped out the wall enclosing the basement stairs to give our main floor a more open feeling. Open being the operative word here - we never got around to putting in a railing to prevent guests from making an unplanned trip from the dining room to the lower level! Ewen came in and built a new railing, newell post, and handrail and installed it in just a day. And he even created custom finishes to it to match it to the upper railing which was built over 100 years ago. He is highly skilled and incredibly talented and did I mention he's funny (as in haha)? He is a riot. Ewen offers fair pricing for his skills and will work to your expectations. We are very fussy about the details in our home and even though we fully expected there'd be something we could nitpick, everything was flawless. We are already lining up new projects for Ewen so book him while you can!

Ewen did a fantastic job! I was in quite a bind with my mother-in-law coming for a visit and even though he was fully booked he managed to fit us in and help us out. He worked efficiently and his attention to detail was impressive. My husband was also very pleased with the work. In a matter of two days he managed to finish up quite a few of things that no one else would tackle. Call after call he was the only one to respond to my dilemma and fortunate for us he did a great job! Thanks Ewen.
