Horrible company! Wish I discovered this review site before going to Elte. We ordered a bed almost 8 months ago and never got it yet...their lack of organization is just terrible. They lend us some cheap bars as a temporary solution and our expensive mattress fell through..had we had the time and energy, we would have sued them. Customer service from management is as frustrating. Go elsewhere!!! It's just not worth it to shop here. I sincerely hope they go bankrupt!

Elte, yes the best selection in the GTA great products, .....service any issues elte will replace and take care of you. But invoicing, delivery and call backs a mess, you could wait for months half year.... also make sure you are not receiving a floor model.

In August we visited Elte several times as we were looking to full furnish our new home in Toronto. In short, our order has take over 6 months. The service was horrendous. Not once has anyone called us to tell us the order was delayed. We had to chase them down every month. Their phone system is a joke. You can't reach anyone easily. I think this is the most overpriced furniture store in the city.

I love my bed frame, it is so beautiful. We ordered a custom bed frame, we got to choose from a beautiful select of fabrics and styles. We now love our new bed in our master bedroom. The staff was helpful and knowledgable with the latest trends.

I was really impressed with the store's selection of home goods, but found everything to be overpriced. I was looking for a Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams sofa, but the price was much higher than I expected (huge markup for furniture in Canada compared to the US). Amazing rugs and kitchen hardware - but difficult to find help from staff. Only ended buying covers for floor vents.

The store itself is nice to look at. We were hoping to get some help from a salesperson for design tips and advice, but found our store helper uninspiring and generally unhelpful. We also wanted to buy some chairs but were told they were final sale despite us hearing from another salesperson that the person they were speaking with could buy them to see which color fit their space the best. and return the unwanted ones. Not happy with this (esp since we just purchased some other furniture from them).

I've purchased furniture from Elte before and have had satisfactory experiences. The store itself has a variety of furniture options at a range of price points. I'm happy with Elte, but not so pleased with Elte Outlet. I purchased a rug there and when I brought it home noticed that it showed footprints. I didn't realize it'd do that, as I did not/could not walk on the carpet barefoot at the store. I called the same day to see if I could exchange it for another rug that didn't show footprints and was told I could not as the rug was final sale. I was hoping that the store would accommodate me as I had just purchased the rug mere hours before, but alas they would not. Hence, I'd recommend Elte to others for its great selection but I'd warn that Elte Outlet has a strict final sale policy. If anyone does find a seemingly good deal at Elte Outlet be sure to test out the item in the store they way they would use it at home or risk ending up with a pricey item that doesn’t work for them.

Shopped for many years with my decorator but this passed summer I shopped on my own for new bedding for my 10 year old daughter , son and our master bedroom.I purchased all bella Note for my daughter's bedroom and after a few months the pillow cases that were purchased with the sheet set started to rip and tear then the duvet cover started to get tiny holes in it. When I returned it to the store the were happy to give me my money back for the sheet set since their had been many complaints (so much so that they discontinued the line) but would not refund or offer an exchange for that matter for the Bella Note duvet. They took it to send it back to the manufacturer but the manufactures decided that it was not their issue. If you follow the washing guidlines that they provide and this happens who's issue is it?? This started after only about 4 months! When you are spending that kind of money on bedding ELTE should definely stand behind their product. As a customer I will never shop there again and will make sure any and all friends and acquaintences hear about this appaling lack of service. I will go back to shopping in the States for our home furnishings!

Company Response:
Leslie. Before I say anything, first allow me to apologize for your frustration. My name is Andrew Metrick and my email is ametrick@elte.com. Elte is a family business and my brother and I are the fourth generation. I'd really like the opportunity to try and help. Please email me a phone number that I can reach you at so that we can talk over the phone. I hope to hear from you soon.
