With so many stories of bad movers it was a pleasure to deal with El Cheapo. The guys called to say they were on the way and showed up early. They were genuinely friendly the entire time. They worked very fast, taking no breaks, and had everything moved in record time. When it was all over, the final bill was extremely reasonable and I was happy to give them a nice tip since everything had been so efficient.

After reading the reviews on here and speaking to the company reps on the phone, I felt very confident with booking with El Cheapo. I'm very glad I did! Ferdinand and Simon showed up and started working right away; they didn't take a single break during the 4 hour move, despite the fact that we didn't have elevators, but 3 flights of stairs. Nothing was damaged. They were polite, profession and efficient. The moving truck actually beat me to the second location! I'm very pleased and will be looking to book with them again in the future.

With a name like El Cheapo you gotta think that they must have good service. The guys were friendly and super fast, we did an entire house move (with the help of my brother) in a morning, and the cost was a lot less than anyone else was quoting.

I used El Cheapo mid-December to move from one condo to another one not too far away (didn't want to lift all the furniture and attempt to navigate the streets in a cube truck by myself!). The two movers arrived right on time and got to work right away. I have never used movers before, and thought they might go slowly to stretch out the bill, but they were very quick! I have also heard about damages when using movers, but all of my stuff make it without a scratch or dent - and they were careful to not get my light-coloured sofas dirty! The two movers were very friendly and I felt comfortable leaving my things in their hands! Definitely the movers to use!!!

I have to say, all our friends laughed at us when they saw the van! In this case you do not get what you pay for...we paid a low price and got amazing service! The guys even arrived early and were easy going when we said we weren't ready yet. A move always takes longer than you expect, and when we were running out of time on the condo elevator they stepped it up and we only slightly ticked off our building security. All in all a great day with great guys!

Some co-workers recommended El Cheapo and I was not disappointed. The two workers showed up on time and ready to go. The move from our apartment to the new house took less than 2 hours and they were polite and professional. A very positive experience.

The fist time I used this company very impressed. The last time (1 month ago) ended up with 1.5h late pick up, disorganized van unable to pack the same furniture from first move, and scratches and dents. For quick and dirty moves OK...but if it's valuable think twice.

We have just done major renovations in our home, and had El Cheapo movers in to move our household goods out of the renovation area, and back in afterwards. On both occasions from the person on the phone, to the movers that came to our house, we were more than pleased, in fact the best moving experience we've ever had. Organized, polite, communicative & good movers too. We will definitely use El Cheapo again, and will recommend them to others. Thank you El Cheapo!!

I booked the 12:30pm slot, but since they had a previous job that lasted until 4pm, they didn't arrive until 5pm. Needless to say, I was upset, especially because I had to deal with the condo management to keep my elevator time slot available. However, they compensated their lateness by providing 3 movers for the price of 2. They were sincerely apologetic about the uncontrollable circumstances and started my move right away, at top speed!! My new house is >20km away, and they completed the move within 4.5hr. They were careful with my furniture, and even though I have no A/C in a scorching day, they still move tirelessly. Ernest, Eric and Lester, you are the man! Took one star off because they are late, but they are definitely the best movers I've had.
