I have never been much of a sewer, but once I step into this store, I am overwhelmed with excitement at all the great selection of colours, styles, etc, and I just find myself getting lost in the splendour! Hmm, now I just need to figure out what to do with all this fabric...

I am beginner at sewing so the staff were friendly when answering my inquiries. I love the vast quantity of fabrics, plus it had superb quality. I know I will be returning when I have more projects requiring the best material

They have a wide selection of fabrics in their massive store. Its a mecca for someone who is looking to put together curtains or even a dress. I was looking for a velvet blue semi sheer material. I shopped around in many stores in Queen street but was able to find it here. But I will warn you to have patience because it does require a lot of energy to look for what you need/want.

Friendly and knowledgable staff help you navigate a huge collection of fabric. Downstairs is mostly interior stuff, with a decent sized collection of outdoor fabrics. Upstairs is a huge collection of jersey and knits, probably the city's best - cleanest at the very least.

I love the store and selection of fabric but I am very much disappointed how is handle situation about parking. Parking is on the site of the building for 4 cars to park parallel when you are a store customer. Apparently store has nothing to do with the parking even it belongs to the store. I was ticket there twice $50 each and till now i have no idea what was a problem. At those 2 occasions I parked as the other cars did and i got ticket. Be aware !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The selection of fabrics and professional advise that comes along is the best in the city! They lend you samples for several days to take home and choose what's best for the interior you are desining for. As you are starting from scratch, it's not cheap but the quality you end up with is to keep for a long time. Recomend to everyone!

This place has a great selection and good prices. Everything is organized and the staff is very helpful. I've bought fabric to upholster a bench and dining room chairs. Will go back again.

Love designer fabrics. Staff always helpful and knowledgeable about the products. Great selection of outdoor fabrics I used to reupholster my patio furniture. Also bought a couple of fabrics to make a blanket for my daughter. She loved it!

Designer fabrics carries a wide array of fabric types. You can find upholstery textiles, fabric for making curtains and different types of felt and vinyl. I needed to recover a chair in something neutral and they helped me out. I didn't know what kind of staple gun I would need for the seat and they saved me some money by letting me know it depended on the quality of the chair. For a cheap soft or medium wood chair, a hardware staple gun works just fine. For a hardwood chair, you do need a proper upholstering gun.
