Contex Roofing Company Inc. No Longer In Business

In the middle of January, 2017 I called Arnold Getz and asked him for a minor repair on an eaves through. In a few days he attended our address, gave us an estimate and a week later, the damage was perfectly repaired. Great customer services and great quality work! Thanks, Contex Roofing!

Arnold was our sales rep. He talked a good game. In our contract it stated that all wood in the roof would be replaced if needed. Immediately upon the job being completed I noticed a large bulging area of the roof. I inquired on the day of installation and Arnold assured me that it 'just needed time to settle' and if we were not eventually happy with it that it would be sorted out. Well it never 'settled' and trying to get Arnold back out to rectify this problem was impossible, even trying to talk to him on the phone about it was next to impossible - he even hung up on me one time and did not call back - not very professional. All in all, I was very disappointed with Contex and I most certainly would not recommend them.

Roof in my house required repair. Contex roofing inc responded to my phone call in very professional manner. The job was done with 1 days from my phone call. Staff was very professional . All debris were removed from the jobsite.

We had a pretty bad leak in our roof and called Contex. They were out here the same day to look at and fix the damaged area. We had a really good rain last night and the roof is leak-free, the gutters are clean, and I am very happy with their quick response and how thorough they were. Thanks guys!

Arnold was our contact at Contex, and he was friendly and informative. We hired this company to build a shingled Church roof, it was a big project and they spent the time to really work out what we needed done and how we wanted it to look. They were able to do the very large roof very efficiently, and on top of the asphalt shingles, they also provided the copper accents we wanted. Everything looks beautiful, and I can’t say enough about how happy I am with Contex Roofing’s job well done!

I had this company do a full installation of architetural asphalt shingles, and I would definitely recommend them. They're around the midway mark for pricing, but I think they’re quality makes them the best value for the price. When I was originally comparing quotes I was thorough about checking out materials I found a couple cheaper companies were trying to peddle lower quality stuff and skimp on things like the underlayment under the shingles, only putting it at the corners rather than covering the deck. Contex didn’t skimp on this stuff. They were the most experienced contractor I was considering and I think that showed. My roof’s been holding up well for 3 years now. I didn’t write them a review at the time, but just got in touch with them to install some new gutters, and was reminded to write one. Gutter installation went well too, continuous aluminum gutters, look good, quick completion, and really impressive clean up.

Was happy with Contex Roofing’s work. Had a asphalt roof installed three years ago. Liked the work, so I hired them again this year to install some gutters. Nice black aluminum, they look great. Work was done on time. No issues. Happy to recommend them.

Was impressed with the job Contex did on our roof, we have a small domed section over our terrace that made the job a bit more complicated. Plus we wanted a metal shingle roof, and there are not as many contractors in Toronto that have experience in metal, since it’s less popular here. Contex was recommended by a friend who was happy with their work too. Arnold was clearly knowledgable, and real easy to talk to throughout the process. The roof was built quickly, and the clean up was great. No stray nails or discarded shingles laying around. I’d had a bad experience with cheap roofers before who didn’t clean properly where my 5 year old son stepped on a nail after they left the place in a big mess, so I was pretty demanding in the clean-up respect because I think it’s extremely important. Contex did a great job overall, and my roof has been in great shape for over a year now with no problems.

Had a full reshingle and a soffit and fascia replacement. Arnold was very friendly and really seemed to know his stuff. The shingles look great, and they’ve held up well under a few good rains now. We had an issue with the soffit they installed bending at the edge after some high winds. They were quick to respond though, and had it fixed up the next day, no problems after that. I would recommend.

Contex did a new roof for me two years ago -- I am very pleased with its performance and the type of shingles used -- still looks new. As I watched I could tell this was an experienced crew. During the installation process -- before the new skylight could be installed -- there was some unexpected leaking due to a rather big thunderstorm -- however Mr. Getz and his staff came very quickly -- the same evening -- to stop the leak until the new skylight arrived and could be installed.
