First attempt of install went as planned, one shutter didn't fit, back two days later to install but I had found a few small issues, back the next day to reinstall. They go out of their way to get the job done and done right. Nice to see a company that cares. Highly recommended.

This is the 2nd time around i have used Cadillac Custom Shutters. There work was nicely done, took their time with the installation to ensure perfection. I will recommend them to anyone as their prices were reasonable and their work was well worth every dime. Nothing but compliments, thanks again!

One year ago, I had this Cadillac Shutters in to install shutters throughout my mississauga townhome and also referred my sister who had her whole house done. I moved to a new home in January of this year (2012) and had them install shutters in the front of my home. I was very unhappy with the quality of the shutters this time around and was not at all happy with how they handled my complaint. I had the owner come to my home to have a look at the shuttes and agreed that they were not a good quality and removed all ten panels and had them repaired. When I got all ten panels returned they were in better condition, but still not the same quality I had one year ago. The thing I was most upset about was how they handled my complaint making me feel I was being too picky and did not follow up after I made a second complaint after getting the repaired ones installed again. They made me feel bad for complaining. They say the sutters come with a lifetime warranty, but hopefully you don't need any repairs done because they might give you attitude when doing so. From my recent experience with this company I would never recommend them again. It's too bad because I still need the back of my house done and have just found another company to do them. The price of Cadillac shutters is cheap, but I guess you get what you pay for!

$700 for ONE roller blind!?! I bought a voucher for Cadillac Shutters through a group buy website - I paid $49 for a $350 voucher. I only needed one roller blind so I figured I would have more than enough money to spend. No way. I went to the store to order the blind. The sales rep told me that he would give me a good price and insisted that I have a sales rep come to my house to ensure my measurements were correct. Perhaps this was an attempt to upsell me; when I told the in-home rep I was only purchasing one blind the rep called in to verify the requirements of the group buy. There were a lot of "yeah, I know's" and I got the impression that the conversation was about no discounts, especially after I mentioned that I would not be paying for installation. I have since compared the price with a big box store and found out that I could have gotten the EXACT same blind (material, colour, size, everything) for $550. Happy with the product (they didn't manufacture what I purchased), but extremely disappointed with service, and especially price.

I was dissapointed and confused to see your review. You purchased a voucher for $49.00 giving you a $350.00 discount off the MRSP off any Hunter Douglas Blind. This was specified on the voucher you purchased. You purchased a Hunter Douglas blind from us which had an MRSP of approx $700.00. We charged you $355.00 tax included for this product. We came to your home to confirm that your measurements were correct before ordering the product at no additional cost to you. You chose to install the blind yourself to save the cost of installation which was fine. The blind arrived and you picked it up at our location, which was agreed upon at the time of ordering, within the time frame we had advised you of. To my calculation you paid $355.00 for the blind + $49.00 for the $350.00 voucher making the total cost to you $404.00. You quoted in your review a price you received from a box store of $550.00 for the same product. It appears to me that by purchasing using this voucher promotion, not only did you get a good price you got a great price. We stive to give our clients not only excellent service but very competetive pricing everyday of the week. A review like this is not only misleading, but in essence is untrue. Cadillac shutters provided a great job at a great price. Cadillac came to our house, provided a quote that was significantly less than all other quotes. The work was completed in a few hours and looks amazing. Would recommend this company to anyone looking to install shutters through their house.

Had shutters installed in 2009. The finish on the shutters was not good at all. Little bumps, marks and chips all over. Would not use this company again. Not what I expected!!!!!!!

I wanted to write this review after enough time to check the initial quality of the new shutters installed in our home. Ernie was a great salesman.. knew his stuff and was very nice to us during the whole process. Gave us a ton of shades to cover our windows while our shutters were being built. The install was good with a few fixes needing to be done by a second person a few days later. There was one fix in particular I didn't much appreciate... there was a an area on one of our shutters with an inferior finish... so we brought it back to them to refinish and return to us... it was done fairly quickly but the bad finish was pretty much still there.. (we couldn't be bothered to remove it and bring it back again) we noticed after a few months the bottom of the shutter started to bubble and peel... we may need to seek warranty work on that eventually... With that said... I would recommend Cadillac Shutters... as a lower cost alternative to high-end shutters... why? the price was great.. but the fit and finish of the shutters are just "good". Rough spots, wavy paint, clumps.. nothing you would notice from far away.. but you would up close... acceptable in my case. Why pay double the price if you don't need to.

Cadillac Shutters was recommended to me - not inexpensive but I went with them anyway. Their product is beautiful but my installer was so incompetent that during his second trip, I asked him to take his things and leave. After the initial installation, several problems came to light so he returned to "fix" them. I specifically requested someone else come to fix them but was told that he was the installer so he would be responsible for making it right. Most (not all) of the problems were fixed on the second visit but my installer (Jay) was unable to do the finishing work properly and was somehow unable to run a clean line of caulking on the trim - it was lumpy and bumpy and ugly to look at - he thought it was fine - he really did. I finally just asked him to leave and said I would finish the job myself. He was either extraordinarily lazy or incredibly incompetent. Instead of taking the shutters off and doing it right, he tried over and over and wasted both my time and his with his trying to take shortcuts. Not cool. After his initial visit, there were screws sticking out and most of the screws in the hinges weren't countersunk so they dented the inside of the frame. He didn't offer to clean up and left screws and bits of caulking stuck in my carpet and strewn over my furniture and floor. He didn't even offer to sweep even though my broom was propped right there in the corner. On the second visit, there was one last piece of trim to be applied and stunningly, he just cut a small piece of wood and stuck it directly over a gap in between. I wish I had taken a picture. I told him that was unacceptable and that it had to be redone so he reapplied the strip from top to bottom and it was completely bowed. I asked him to do it again, and on the third try, he finally figured out how to do it right. It is SO not my job to stand over an installer and show him how to do his work properly. He might have been able to build a square box to hold the doors but anything other than that seemed to escape him. He filled gaps with unnecessary and bulky pieces of trim instead of filling them properly with caulking. I ended up with trim across one section and no trim on the rest - I don't know how that was okay in his mind. He left screws sticking out, and my shutters didn't function as they're supposed to. Unbelievable. Really unbelievable. The day after his last visit, I opened my window and found the shutters still hit the window frame when I go to adjust them. I have not and will not call the company back to have them come to adjust it for fear they will send the same installer (especially since I requested someone else the last time and was told no). I did, however, place a call to the owner to enquire about the warranty if I take the shutters off and do the finishing work myself. Thankfully, my warranty will remain intact so that's what I'll do. I'll finish the job myself after paying the full $3300 for the product and installation and taking two unpaid days off work. It's a shame, really. Their product is quite lovely but the installer killed it. If you could be sure not to get the guy who did the work in my place, then I'd say go for it. If not, I'd certainly stay away.
