I purchased a whole set of natural planted tank last year at Big Al's Scarborough and no clue of what things I should buy and how to maintain the aqua life easily. The staffs explained patiently (lots of time) and gave me professional tips of the way of maintaining the plants and shrimps healthier. Thanks a lot, Big Al's

Sales rep are all very welcoming and willing to assist with any inquiries. We liked that the prices were reasonable and fishes were professionally packaged and sealed for the travel back home.

The scarborough location is the only one I've been to. The store is always clean and organized. We buy fish and aquarium accessories from here and they have great prices for quality products, items in stock and prompt service. I always enjoy making my rounds to see the variety of fish they have!

Had to help my young cousins replace their fish tank so we ended up going here. The staff offered plenty of tips to care for it and to maintain it. Love the variety and my young cousins sure ensured the visit there.

My daughter had asked me for several weeks if we could get a fish. She wanted to get a small freshwater fish, and the staff recommended a Betta fish.There were several Betta's to choose from and they all had some marvelous colours. It has been two weeks, and he is still swimming around his "starter tank". My daughter is happy that she has a fish to care for and she is following the staff care and maintenance reccomendations very carefully!

They are a fabulous aquarium store, with knowledgeable staff, everything you need, and good stock of (healthy) fish. Whenever I can, I make the trip to Kennedy Rd. to buy from them. They helped me choose my tank (20-gallon) and accessories and supplies, and my first fishies. They sell a range of products, including starter kits, and inexpensive tanks, as well as pricier stuff. I have since bought fish from other pet stores, but they all died off fairly quickly. Most of the fish that I bought from Big Al's, on the other hand, have lasted for years, in spite of my not-so-great care. My only gripe is that when the store is busy, it can be hard to get service.
