I purchased a whole set of natural planted tank last year at Big Al's Scarborough and no clue of what things I should buy and how to maintain the aqua life easily. My kid blew a hole and I needed a fix for my fish tank. AL and his team got the job done. They were less than timely but the tank is now functional.

The sales staff are very knowledgable about their products, and the one girl that went over the setup even knew about common issues with the pumps and filters I was looking at (later verified with a google search). The prices were a little higher then Petsmart I later noticed, but I would happily pay a little extra knowing how knowledgable they were.

A nice selection of fish and exotic displays along with every supply needed. This place was amazing to look at and the staff was friendly and helpful. Will definitely shop here again!

Big Al's is a great place to purchase aquarium supplies. There is plenty of selection to set up a nice aquarium. The fish are very nice to look at and their central aquatic display is amazing.

When we got married 28 years ago we purchased ourselves as a wedding gift a very large aquarium. Planning and purchasing fish, plants and even novelties was a lot of fun and watching the fish is actually very relaxing after a hard day at work. It lasted quite a few years until we had to moved. We recently decided to have one again and after 20 years, items have changed. We found the staff very helpful in getting us back into the planning and purchasing that was just right for us. I now watch my fishtank for some well deserved down time... it still relaxing to watch.

We were looking forward to getting our aquarium set up again and went to buy extra supplies and fish. The staff was extremely helpful advising which type of fish to get and how to handle the water levels , etc. They even tested our water to advise the levels.
