I hired Milan of Amber Imp-Ex Corp to install siding on my house (back) which he did Aug 4 - 7/09. He also agreed to install a screen door but the glass on the screen door was not installed correctly (was not fit into holes) & when closing the door, it almost fell out; I managed to catch it. If I don't hold it to close, it slams & sticks so I can't get out without going outside through the house & using a screwdriver to pry it open; this could be a fire safety risk! The work was to be completed on Aug 6/09 & they said it would be done. I saw it was not quite completed @ 4pm but Milan assured me when I got home it would be finished. I said I had an appointment & since the work was outside & Milan had done work for me before, I paid him & left. When I got home I found some of his equipment still in the yard & the work not finished. The next morning they arrive & close to midday they are packing up. I saw there were pieces of the back & side wall between the 1st & 2nd floor & the bottom was uncovered. I asked about it & he said this is not part of the contract. He said if I wanted that covered, I would have to pay for additional material & it was not part of the siding & they left. I went around to the side to look at the rest of the work & found they had used mostly end pieces to complete the job which looks awful. I was very upset & called him later to say I would no longer use him for my bathroom & kitchen renovations. I have since had 2 other contractors view the work; they both said the job had been left incomplete; it is part of the job & referred me to the BBB. I called Milan & told him this, he said, never mind anyone else, this is not siding?. I told him I will submit a complaint to BBB & posting this information on a bad contractor website He said, do what you want because I put up your light & didn't charge you. I said thank you & hung up. I have a receipt I paid $4,800 cash. I admit I did ask them to install a sensor light before installing the new siding which they did but I supplied the fixture & wiring. See pictures. BBB CASE#: 1197546

What could this company do to improve their services?
I would like him to return to complete the job & fit the door properly.
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
No matter if someone has done work for you in the past, NEVER, EVER pay them until you are satisfied with the job.
