We hired Oborne's team to help with some ductwork that wasn't installed properly and caused vent noises throughout. From the beginning his team was on time (early even), courteous, and knowledgeable. John came by one morning to take a look around and it was a pleasure talking about our issues with him - he takes the time to listen, to help his customers understand the job (process, terminology, final steps, etc.), and works hard to do it right. My husband and I are looking to purchase our first home. When we found a beautiful Victorian home with loads of charm and potential we hired John to come with us to our home inspection. I cannot say enough good things about John himself. He was honest and realistic, two qualities that are so very important to us, especially when buying our first home. He taught me a lot about what to look for, and gave us honest ball park quotes for what it would cost to make the home (A)safe and (B)beautiful, just like we envisioned. As a result of the inspection we decided not to put in an offer, as the hazards of the home were just too great. But we will definitely be hiring John again to come inspect the next home we're serious about buying. His knowledge is absolutely invaluable. And when it comes time to do our renovations we will certainly be hiring Oborne to drive those.

We hired Oborne to remove an old TV antenna which was in danger of falling off our roof. Oborne took it down at minimal cost (basically a couple hours of work) -- no muss, no fuss. This was our second job with Oborne, and we'll certainly use them again.

I dealt with John Oborne and his team for my kitchen reno project. Unlike many contractors, they are honest and straight forward, and run their organization like a business. They are easy to deal with and professional. John has tons of experience and is able to identify and handle situations with the builds before they become issues, whereas others would allow the situations to lead to costly up-charges. Oborne Construction sets the standard for construction and renovation that all other companies should aspire to. From start to finish, John and his team provided quality workmanship, excellent communication and care. The written quote and subsequent contract contained all the features of a good contract. We were given an estimated start date two months prior. That's the day our work commenced! Brian, our team leader, took good care of our home and us! We hired Oborne to do a total gut of our main floor (ceilings, floors, walls) and to upgrade our knob and tube wiring throughout the house. It was an extensive reno that lasted two months. We received several quotes and ultimately went with Oborne after meeting with John. His detailed estimates and upfront attitude regarding what we could and couldn't (or shouldn't) do was what impressed us. Our foreman, Jim, has now spoiled us for future contractors. Hi John wanted to thank you and collin along with your team for doing such a wonderful job on our basement.I love my new room and the en suite,we love the theatre room and the gym.I still have nt been able to use it due to school commitments but will be soon for the christmas break.

Couldn't ask for a better bunch of people to work with!! It was a pleasure to see Ken, Carl and Troy every day rain or shine at our place in the morning. These were a bunch of guys that were not only good at their job, but enjoyed their job and were proud of their work and who they worked for - they all wore Oborne company T-shirts - and proud to do so.
